I have to agree with Manolo that there’s one item of clothing/accessory that a fashionista should never, ever, ever, ever skimp on - shoes!
I do quite a bit of walking and my feet sweat quite a bit, so there is no way I would put my foot in shoes made of synthetic leather - simply because synthetic leather makes my feet sweat even more (not to mention they make them stink!).
I don’t have very many shoes in my wardrobe, but when I do go out and buy shoes, I don’t mind spending more for them. There are so many places that you can get quality made shoes for less. I, for one, love to shop at Nordstrom during their Half-Yearly or Anniversary sales. I bought a pair of Franco Sarto boots a few years back and they’re still in “super-fantastic” condition!
The thing I pay attention to when I meet people or when I’m people watching are their shoes. Shoes tell alot about a person, don’t you think?
By the way, another thing you shouldn’t skimp on...handbags! But that’s another post...
