Research Says That Women Are Bored With Sexy Advertising

I just came across an interesting, but yet funny article.  It’s one of those articles that make you say “Duh!“.  It says that women are bored with “sexy” advertising...
“...a team of researchers at the University of Florida in Gainesville gauged the emotional responses of more than 100 college-aged women to photos of attractive women. After looking at each photo, the participants would point to a manikin that represented their emotional reaction. For instance, one set of manikins represented arousal reactions, ranging from disinterested to excited.   The more seductive the model, the more it left the women bored and uninterested, according to lead author Robyn Goodman.”Petra Nemcova for Rampage

Well, of course women are going to be disinterested with photos of seductive models!  Unless a woman is gay then there really is no interest in seeing other women.  Isn’t that obvious? 

It seems to me that women rather than men should be producing ads for fashion magazines.  I think that we’ve become bored with advertising in general.  There needs to be more creativity.  In my opinion, the whole “sex sells” idea was thought up by men for men.  Men are the ones who like to see sexy female models!
