Japan Fashion Week must have slipped through my radar!  We’re on day three of the event in Tokyo and I came across this article with some highlights of the past couple days.  I’ve said before how much I admire the style of many Japanese women.  It just seems that many of them could really care less about “labels”.  They take risks and they have fun with expressing themselves.  Yohji Yamamoto Dress

On a related note, Grace of High Fashion Girl shares some fabulous pictures of a fashion exhibit by Japanese designer Yohji Yamamoto.  I’m in awe.... My favorite is this black, grey, and white dress.  It’s simple, yet it’s different.  You get a sense of movement even if you’re standing still.  It really, truly is art.
