Designer Gavin Douglas is London Fashion Week’s Fashion Fringe winner and the prize: £100,000 and a contract with Yoox.com. Where did Gavin find his inspiration? An exhibition he saw on Black Victorians at the Birmingham Museum & Art Gallery.
"When you are at school, you only learn about the slaves. I did a lot 
of reading and found out that Queen Victoria had a black goddaughter, and that there were black trapeze artists and street musicians."
You just never know what you’re going to see that spurs you into creating. As a visual artist, I get much of my inspiration from nature. What inspires you?
