2006: The Year of Improvements in the Fashion Industry

2006 has been quite an eventful year in fashion, hasn’t it?  Although we’re still making strides as far as going forward with fashion design. There are a few out there that are doing big thangs - don’t get me wrong! But as far as opening up the eyes of consumers to the goings on behind the scenes...we’ve come a long way since bloggers have taken over jumped into the industry.  Now you have “regular” people putting their two cents in (including me!) which has created a more diverse exchange of conversation in media - both online and offline. 

This year we’ve also gained ground in communicating the issues surrounding modeling with the recent ban of skinny models in Europe.   There’s quite a bit of debate and I’ve already stated my opinion on this here. 

Hmmm...now if we can stop with all this porn advertising!
