Greg Bean, the man who wrote the article, also goes on to wonder why a woman would want to rent an expensive bag “when you can buy a perfectly good one from L.L. Bean for $50 and keep it forever”. I have to wonder the same thing... I would have to give up a very pretty bag after only a week or two! I would be interested in knowing if anybody out there has ever rented a purse and what your thoughts are... I know that women out there love to do it and it’s nothing to them. Perhaps you can enlighten me on the benefits of renting a bag. Inquiring minds want to know!

I sometimes eBay rent. ;-) On to newer, more exciting, and "better" (?) things. Sometimes it's a classic that also ranks higher on our list of perfect wishes. It just wasn't made when we had the old bag. Sometimes it's trends, but not for me. Sometimes it's on to the more expensive. Sometimes, we just want newer and that exciting feeling.
Then there are bags we love but there could always be a reason to move on. Like when we need bigger bags ... or is that because of the trend?
