
According to this USAToday article, Timberlake doesn’t want to use his celebrity influence to sell his jeans. Uhhh...too late for that! If that was the case, JT should have just let his friend launch the line while he hid in the background ;)

the william rast denim line has been out for more than a year now. and he's right, they haven't done advertising. the brand is not "in your face" like, for example, jessica simpson's. but it is also prudent of him to use his celebrity. it is a business after all.
