Lyric Jeans: What Do You Think?
Recently I was introduced to Lyric Jeans (LJYN.PK), a company that produces clothing inspired by music.  From the website:

“Lyric jeans is a music inspired premium clothing line involving lyric content on jeans, denim wear, and accessories.  Each pair of jeans reflects the personality, style and flare of the recording artist and song through its design.  With the vision of fusing the world of music with fashion, the company employs a cutting-edge design strategy allowing consumers to express themselves stylishly through song lyrics.”Kelly Clarkson Wearing Lyric Jeans t-shirt.jpg

Jeans are probably a multi-billion dollar industry with so many companies out there selling them.  The question has come up whether or not this company has a chance to compete in this industry.  My thoughts are that it’s not “just another jean company”.  Jeans have always been a great canvas to display creativity.  I’ve decorated jeans with patches, paint, and even bleach!  If fashion is an expression of who you are, why not express those songs through this medium that have meaning to you as well?  It’s definitely something different.

So, what do you think?  Does this company have a chance of surviving?  Would you buy a pair of Lyric Jeans with your favorite song on them?  I welcome your thoughts and opinions!

I would buy the product if

1. The jean had a good fit

2. The Lyric's did not quickly wash out so they did not look good.

3. The idea sounds like it could be good. The product would stay hot if the music on them was "in"

jon - about Lyric Culture jeans and accessories: I spoke with their Investment Relations Rep regarding the your comments from Oct. 10th. 1) He expressed the importance and how critical it is to offer clothing that will fit to the customers' satisfaction, to be able to compete successfully in any given market. So, for the price that one will be paying for Lyric's products, the fit must meet the buyers' approval. 2) About the longevity of the song lyrics: the lyrics will be applied by using a silkscreen process. It is recommended that one should never wash jeans in hot water, nor even warm. Also, if washed at all, they should be turned inside-out and avoid placing in a dryer. Consider caring for the garment(s) as a fine material. 3) The company is presently signing artists and the list is growing at a good pace. He did not elaborate whether the musical choices are "in" right now, or not; but consider the variety of choices of artists that are out there. Hopefully your favorite artist will be on the list.

I bought a lyric culture T-Shirt I love it. I love the way it fits and I cant wait to buy a pair of jeans. I think they are going to be a big hit.

When and where can I buy Lyric Jeans?
