Was Fashion Week in Paris Uninspiring?

I was just reading this article about Paris Fashion Week and many seem to think that this week’s shows are “uninspiring” and that it may be an “off season for Paris”.  I went to Style.com and checked out the slideshows of the Louis Vuitton and Miu Miu collections.  From what I’ve seen so far, I would have to say that these collections are certainly different.  Granted, there wasn’t really anything in those two collections that I would wear, but you gotta respect the designers for their efforts on being fashion forward.  Do we really need to go back to the past?  Miu Miu Paris Fashion Week 2006.jpg

I have to say that as I was watching these slideshows, what was most fascinating to me was the fact that these models didn’t seem to do anything to create enthusiasm for the clothing.  Their faces are expressionless.  They either didn’t want to model the clothes they had to wear or just looked plain bored.  What’s the matter with a little smile now and then?  Is it just me?
