With that said, something has a come to my attention in regards to a fashion community that I associate with. It made me question whether or not to continue my association with this community. However, before jumping to any conclusions or forming my own opinion on the issue, I had to get it straight from the person responsible.
Most of you know Julie from Almost Girl or Coutorture Media. She’s come under quite a bit of scrutiny from people in “old media” as well as fellow fashion bloggers. Without going into much detail, let’s just say that there has been an exchange of negative energy between Julie and other bloggers which has caused disharmony within the fashion community.
This is what Julie said:
I told Julie in an email that I understood that she was under a tremendous amount of pressure trying to plan Fashion Week for the Coutorture community. She had many obligations - not only to her fellow fashion bloggers, but to her sponsor as well. People were depending on her. I’ve never had to plan an event of this magnitude, but I’ve had to plan events before and I know how stressful it can be.
Now, put yourself in Julie’s shoes...Editor of a big fashion blogging network, at Fashion Week for the first time representing Coutorture Media - a new type of media at that, fighting to get into the shows, dealing with criticism from others.... It’s alot to take in! It’s enough to give you a nervous breakdown if you’re not used to it. I know I would have lost my marbles just a little ;)
I know that there are many angry women out there and believe me, I was a little disappointed too. However, the past is the past. Julie has apologized. I’m the type of person that learns the lesson and moves forward. Negative energy eats at your soul - it’s just not worth it. Why not forgive and forget?

I'm just curious if for some reason my blogs were removed from Coutorture. I don't see their articles (or even your articles) on the site. There is also no directory.
The new design is great, but it's difficult to use with no list of links to us all. (We're required to link back.) Also, how do the articles get chosen? The articles there are great, but other blogs have great ones too. Yours are often surely include-able, and I feel some of mine could be there.
Oh and by the way, I have no idea about what you are speaking. What happened? With whom? What was said. Remember the Ws of journalism! If you publish something, you can't be timid, sorry. :-)
