Coach's Limited Edition Tote: When Art and Fashion Meet

One of my favorite accessory companies is Coach, Inc. (COH). Generally, I’m not into “logoed” out apparel, but for some reason I’m attracted to the signature Coach bags - or just about any Coach bag for that matter.

Well, call it synchronicity if you will, but I’ve been looking around for a good tote bag to carry the myriad of things I like to have with me when I’m riding the train (we call it the “trolley” here in San Diego). Magazines, a good book to read, a sketchbook, and various notebooks occupy space in my bag and I need something sturdy yet fashionable to hold all these things.

So you can imagine the bliss I felt when I read this little news piece about Reed Krakoff and Kiki Smith collaborating for Coach to create a limited edition bag made of canvas with Smith’s pretty sketches. Only 100 of these bags were produced and are available at the Whitney Museum of American Art.

Artistic fashion - love it!

That doesn't look a thing like a Coach bag. I almost want one for the fact that there are only 100, though.
