More Companies Becoming Aware of Eco-Fashion

Fast Company Magazine’s Dec 2006/Jan 2007 edition talks about the growing “trend” of companies with a social conscience with the focus on those who are giving back to the community and the environment.  There was a page which highlighted fashion companies who are using organic materials for their clothing.  These companies included:Kavu.com Women's Top

  • Kavu - clothing made of bamboo, soy, and hemp
  • GoLite - makes recycled polyester shirts
  • Teko - manufactures socks made of Ingeo, a corn-based fiber that stays drier than cotton
  • Keen - has a sneaker made of organic cotton canvas & water-based glues
