Can you think of the last time you wore pantyhose? The last time I wore a pair was...I say, about ten years ago when I worked for a bank. Those were the days when it was taboo to not wear hose. It was just tacky. However, nowadays, it’s very rare to see someone wearing hose unless they work for an airline or a very conservative law firm, bank, or some professional industry. Even then I think it’s ok now to go without it. 
Well, it’s no surprise to see that pantyhose sales are dragging. Hanesbrands, one of the leading hosiery sellers, has stated to their investors that there has been a decline and that they’re working on ways to innovate the brand. The company is looking at offering alternatives like leggings and socks. They are also doing research to see what younger consumers are purchasing nowadays.
