Here’s another country to add to the list of those who are taking steps to change the modeling industry:  Brazil.  This article at Reuters says that organizers of Brazil’s fashion events will require models to show proof of good health with signed medical certificates. 

It’s interesting to me that other countries are making moves to combat this issue - yet the U.S. fashion industry still refuses to really and truly acknowledge that something needs to be done.  C’mon, simply providing healthier foods during runway shows is not going to cut it, folks.  

What’s it going to take for them (the Council of Fashion Designers of America) to wake up?
