I completely agree that there are so many approaches when it comes to expressing and communicating ideas and opinions regarding fashion. I don’t necessarily think there’s a wrong or right way to do it. I know, I know - I constantly gripe about the big glossies and their obsession with celebrities, but hey, if that’s the way they want to express themselves, so be it. I’m over it. We each have an opinion and a voice when it comes to letting people know what interests us. I feel that as long as you have a passion for what you do and maintain a high level of integrity when it comes to sharing knowledge, then you deserve respect. Not everyone is going to like what you have to say at times, but as long as you stay true to yourself, then that’s all that counts. The only problem I have with some fashion writers is that they think they know everything and because they work for a certain publication they’re that much better than you.
