Are you embarrassed to have a love for fashion? In this article Miuccia Prada admits to having a love/hate relationship with fashion over the years. Growing up she thought having a career in fashion “was stupid because I thought there were more intelligent and noble professions, like politics, medicine or science."
I have grown to respect fashion designers because of their creativity and courage to follow their dreams. Not too many parents really want their kids to grow up and become fashion designers. Most of the time a parent will say that they want their kid to be a doctor, lawyer, or something that requires many years of study - unless the parent is already working in the fashion industry, of course.

"Buying a $5,000 handbag just because it's a status symbol is a sign of weakness. Daring to wear something different takes effort. And being elegant isn't easy. You have to study it, like cuisine, music and art."
