What Would Happen If There Was a Ban on Skinny Models in the U.S.?
Looks like I’m not the only one who has something to say about the Council of Fashion Designers of America's futile attempt to get involved with the “skinny model” issue.  I just came across this post over at Pierce Mattie’s blog where Shannon gives us her two cents on the issue as well:runway.jpg

“...I whole heartedly feel it is the fashion industry’s responsibility to do all they can to contribute to being a solution to eating disorders and not be the cause of them.”

Most of the fashion industry - mainly the “elite” designers who have no clue or even care about anything that’s going on around them - are in serious denial if they think that they haven’t caused this situation.  It’s very disappointing, to say the least, that the CFDA hasn’t pushed for more regulations.  Perhaps they’re scared that they wouldn’t have any models to show for them if they decided to ban skinny models like Madrid did.  Imagine that!
