These are the words of Tom Ford when he was interviewed by Teri Agins of The Wall Street Journal. This is what I should say to my friend who constantly asks whether something looks good on her or if something matches or not. I’ve always believed that you should just wear whatever makes you feel comfortable! If it’s pink ballet shoes with a purple sweat suit, so be it.
Oh, and regarding celebrity marketing, Ford says:
"I have a lot of friends who are actors and actresses, and in some cases (all this publicity centering on fashion) hurts their careers. It demystifies them -- you get so tired of seeing someone's face on an advertising billboard."
