There are so many shows to talk about for the first day of Fashion Week, but I’ll highlight one that caught my attention - Baby Phat - mainly because of the backdrop. Being the artist that I am, I was enamored by the background of the
runway that - oh yeah, there’s fashion to look at too!
The Baby Phat Autumn/Winter 2007/08 collection is a mix of casual, formal, high hair, sexy-mama boots, and of course, ghetto fabulousness. Even though I’m not as daring as some fashionistas are when it comes to wearing Baby Phat, overall I have to say that I do like the collection. The background helped put the clothes in global perspective. Yes, I could definitely picture myself wearing some of this stuff in Moscow, but in Cali???
Style It says, “I’m completely convinced Kimora Lee Simmons sleeps in an evening gown.”
NYMag thinks Britney Spears may get some bad ideas at Baby Phat...uh, no comment.
