Ok, I must have missed the memo that Cathy Horyn has a fashion blog now. For those of you who don’t know, Cathy is the famed fashion writer for The New York Times. So, if you ever wanted a glimpse into the mind of a fashion writer, you should check out her blog. 
Ah, this is why I love blogs. With blogs there are are no “rules”, no editors slicing away at your writing - you’re free to tell it like it is. Isn’t that what writing should be about? I have friends who used to laugh when I told them I’m a fashion blogger. To them it was more like “blah-ger”. Blah, blah, blah, blah. Now I get calls from famous publications asking me if I‘d like to contribute. How’s that for “blah”? If you have dreams of being a fashion writer, then start a blog.
So, back to Cathy Coryn…In a recent post she noted:
“Are you going to keep blogging after the shows are over?” someone asked me as I was leaving Rucci. I told him I was. It never occurred to me not to.
Once a writer, always a writer.
