
“Indian fashion is going places, literally as our designers promote 'Indianness' as their USP on foreign ramps!”
Yes, I think it’s good that more countries are getting into the fashion circuit. However, my concern is that these designers will soon lose their uniqueness and begin designing things for the sake of mass appeal. Will they stay true to themselves and their heritage or will they fall prey to what everybody else is doing?
I browsed the website of famed Indian fashion designer, Ritu Kumar. This is one designer who will not have a problem keeping to her roots. Pictured here is one of her designs.
