Is Payless Shoe Source (PSS) heading for good things?  Fashion Week Daily reports that the company has just signed on Bernard Figueroa as the director of design for their women‘s footwear.  Figueroa is a former footwear designer for Michael Kors and has his own collection of footwear and accessories. 

This past year I’ve actually made a few purchases from Payless, despite my belief that fashionistas should adorn high quality shoes and handbags.  Sometimes you just want a pair of real trendy shoes and you know they’ll be out next season.  And just like this blogger over at Hyacinths and Biscuits says:

“But regardless, I'm developing quite a love affair with you. I still can't decide if that means you're getting classier or I'm getting trashier”
