I don’t know too many fashionistas who haven’t bought or sold a piece of clothing on eBay. I was one who was on eBay all day every day selling vintage clothing and shopping for purses.  It’s no surprise that the company wants to boost it’s fashion image.  Ebay has hired on fashion guru, Constance White to build buzz about it‘s fashion department.  White is in charge of getting big-name designers to auction off pieces on eBay and she has scored a number of times - like getting Proenza Schouler to offer 100 items to be auctioned off exclusively on eBay.  Read more about eBay’s fledge for designers’ fashion love over at Business Week...

If Constance wants to get with the fashion program, I do highly recommend updating her Personal Style column because it’s not Fall 2005 anymore!
