Liz Claiborne has been around for ages, but it’s hardly the brand that a young fashionista thinks of when she goes shopping. However, that may change with the new fall collection which was just unveiled at the Museum of Modern Art. [See pictures at The New York Post]![]()
With Tim Gunn as Liz Claiborne’s newest Chief Creative Officer, we’ll definitely see the company’s image regain ground. Just two days ago, Gunn joined the company and I’m sure everyone in the organization is thrilled about his involvement. Wow, he is going to be a busy-bee with Project Runway, Liz Claiborne, and his own show!
Tim Gunn said: "Though this is not something I had envisioned for myself, I jumped at the chance to serve as a mentor, advisor and sounding board for the design and merchandising community within Liz Claiborne Inc. The talent that currently exists at Liz is phenomenal and I am up to the challenge of harnessing and focusing such strength. Bill, Trudy Sullivan and their entire team are infused with contagious energy and I feel lucky to have the opportunity to contribute to a company with such a pioneering heritage and broad consumer reach."
