But does it have to be this way? Will we arrive in an era with a completely distinctive style that isn’t inspired from past designers? A time when we could look back and say Wow, the early 2000’s - a time when fashion finally shifted. We weren’t moving backward - we were actually fashion forward.
As much as I like this fast fashion, I wonder if this has contributed to the sameness that we’ve been seeing among us fashionistas. Not too many people want to “think outside the box” for fear of *gasp* - being different.
Do we keep going back because we’re afraid of stepping out of the comfort zone?
