Target is at it again. We’re in for another frenzy. This time, dear fashionistas, we get Patrick Robinson, the former designer for famous fashion houses like Giorgio Armani, Anne Klein and Perry Ellis. According to the Wall Street Journal (subscription required), Patrick Robinson is tired of fashion shows and high-end fashion that don’t deliver “real value”, hence the contract with Target.
I think that there are many high-end fashion houses that still deliver value - there’s just very few of them. Chanel, Burberry, and Louis Vuitton are companies that come to mind. I’m willing to shell out a great deal of money for these fashion houses. However, I believe that there has been a shift in people’s thinking of what is and what isn’t quality fashion and how much they’re willing to pay for clothing.
So anyways, out of all the designers that have done a collection for Target, this is by far my favorite. It must be the bohemian chic in me! Browsing through the image album at Target’s website, I instantly fell in love with these two dresses.
