Well, I’m sure many celebrities don’t sit down, sketch out and actually create these pieces for their clothing lines. We just like to think they did ;) The majority of us are celebrity-crazed people who will buy anything because someone’s name is on it. That’s what the fashion industry has capitalized on. Companies like H & M, Gap, TopShop, etc are banking on celebrities to bring in the money and I don’t think this form of marketing will change anytime soon.
The Wall Street Journal wrote a post a couple months ago about when celebrity product endorsements go awry…and PopSugar asks if we buy clothes endorsed by celebrities…
