One designer that really speaks to me as an artist is Emilio Pucci.  I favor his colorful and geometric aesthetic - not to mention the way he can turn abstract art into something completely wearable.  When I first heard about Pucci over ten years ago, it was then that I realized that one could combine a love for art and fashion and create a successful business.  Pucci’s style simply cannot be duplicated and anyone who tries will definitely be labeled a copycat.   

This weekend Pucci will celebrate his 60th birthday and will do it with much style, no doubt.  The black-tie celebration will take place in Italy, of course.  I can imagine that it will be nothing short of fabulous and colorful.
