I don’t think there’s a designer out there that doesn’t know about Swarovski crystals.  I use them quite often in my jewelry designs and they add instant glamour to any fashion piece.  

Well, I was pretty darn excited to find out about the latest Swarovski design contest.  Here’s the official invitation:

CREATE your STYLE(TM) with CRYSTALLIZED(TM) - Swarovski Elements invites you to participate in the Design Contest 2007. Celebrate your own personal style by submitting designs into one or more of the following groups: Jewelry, Accessories, Home Décor or Paper Crafts. Use your imagination to CREATE your STYLE™ with CRYSTALLIZED™ – Swarovski Elements.

The contest is open to professionals, amateurs and students and there will be winners in all categories…

Professional Category
1st place - Trip to Wattens, Austria
2nd place - $3,500 Gift Certificate to towards CRYSTALLIZED - Swarovski Elements
3rd place - $2,000 Gift Certificate to towards CRYSTALLIZED - Swarovski Elements
Amateur Category
1st place - Trip to Wattens, Austria
