This is a guest post from my friend who has a keen eye for fashion and is in the process of starting his own fashion line...
It's amazing how looking good or having the color of your clothes coordinated affects the way you feel about yourself. Everyone says the clothes don't make the person, but I beg to differ. Cause if that is the case why are so many people infatuated with fashion? I live in an area of California where there is a pretty dense population of homeless people and I have noticed that even They purvey an innate sense of fashion.
There is one man whom I have named Mr. Brown. Everytime I see him, his Fabio like hairstyle is neatly brushed back and his brown cutoff shirt and shorts are seemingly clean. Even though he has to deal with the daily reality that he is homeless, I can see that he still takes pride in his appearance and that is impressive to me.
There is one lady whom I have labled the collage. I call her the collage because she usually wears a combination of flamboyant colors or tones that don't necessarily match, but her thick leg warmer type socks are always the same color. Whether yellow, pink, or green the socks tend to balance the outfit to give it some stability.
I wrote this article in order to show my Respect for the homeless population because despite the unthinkable odds and challenges that they face on a daily basis, they seem to maintain a sense of pride about themselves as human beings. This Pride is reflected in their subtle and sometimes abstract Fashion Sense.
