Last month I talked about my visit with Laura Gambucci and how much I love her store.  Well, I wanted to share the article I did about Laura for San Diego Magazine titled “The Style Doctor”.

Now, I’ve written for many publications, but this assignment really hit home with me…Wow - I am an established writer! I have no journalism degree and the closest thing to a writing class I’ve taken was my English class in high school.  Yet I’ve taken something that I love to do and have made a name for myself. 

It’s my hope in writing this that those of you who want to get into fashion journalism or fashion writing will find inspiration in me.  

As many of us know- especially fashion bloggers - the rules of journalism are changing.  It’s an exciting time in that aspiring writers now have a medium to get more exposure for their ideas.  Granted, there are people out there whose writing is less than to be desired, but I give them credit for expressing themselves and contributing to all these online conversations happening around the blogosphere.  If you’re looking for help, visit this site for online news editing tips.
