Social shopping sites have been sprouting up everywhere across the web. For us fashionistas, it’s Stylehive or This Next. However, it probably won’t be very long before retailers catch onto this new wave of online shopping.
Companies like Gap who have been experiencing their own dip may benefit from these types of online interactions. 
Here’s an idea that came to me…
What if Gap introduced some type of shopping forum where shoppers could ask each other questions and share Gap outfits that they’ve put together. Maybe Gap could have a famous designer or celebrity (although the latter would be a last option) be a guest “chatter” to answer fashion questions and offer recommendations to Gap customers?
What do you think? Would this type of online interaction put Gap ahead of its competition?
