Incidentally, I also came across an article written by Guy Adams of the Sun-Herald which talks about Heidi Klum and the story of how she became this illustrious supermodel.
When asked about the issue of skinny models on the runway, Heidi says: "In one sense, though, I agree that the industry should do something about it. They make the rules and ultimately book these skinny girls. On the other hand, though, please give both sides of this argument. I have worked with so many girls in the past who eat like crazy and do not throw up. Some people are born skinny, and that's just the way it is. You can't point a finger at them and say they're ill or anorexic. It isn't fair to people born that way."
This reminds me of a comment someone made awhile ago about how some women just can’t help being skinny despite all the efforts to gain weight. I’ve come to the realization that perhaps some of these girls are slow bloomers - really, really slow bloomers. Some of these models are 21-years-old living in a 14-year-old body.
