That quote was said by the woman who I believe put the "F" in Fashion...Coco Chanel. There's no doubt that Chanel is probably the most sought-after or widely known brand around the world - next to Louis Vuitton. The name is synonymous with elegance, class, beauty, and femininity. The ever-so-familiar tweed jacket has become a timeless staple in every women's closet.
I completely agree with Linda Grant that "Chanel style has changed us all". Linda has a great piece over at Telegraph.co.uk about Coco Chanel's influence on modern fashion.
