As the fashion "big guns" in New York make their last minute preparations for the big week, other cities seek the excitement of fashion by holding their own fashion week - albeit small events.  Take, for instance, the first fashion week in St. Louis - a city widely known for the Cardinals...but for fashion? 

I think it's nice that smaller cities are embracing their fashion culture and celebrating the creativity of the local designers.  I've always been one to believe that anything can happen once you get your name out there...Even if you have to start out in a small fashion setting, so be it.  It'll give you practice until you can join the beautiful people in New York :)
