
Eva over at Papierblog points out the very interesting Dior fall ad. Yes, it does beat the models who lay around in many of the fashion spreads today. That ad says to me, "I am woman, here me roar!" There's good contrast between the clothes and the model's surroundings, plus it's edgy and as Eva says, "gruff".
I would love it if more designers would take the creativity used in fashion ads and produce a similar feeling in their runway shows. As I mentioned before, Nina Ricci's show is a perfect example. With over 200+ shows scheduled for New York Fashion Week, I think if some designers put a little more effort in staging the show, they'll get more buzz. Agree?
