As all eyes are on London's Fashion Week, New Zealand is quietly celebrating their own fashion week. Air New Zealand Fashion Week began on September 16 and runs through September 20.
I was a little thrown off when I was reading the news reports about this fashion week showcasing Autumn/Winter 2008 collections. Oh, that's right, the South Pacific's seasons are always opposite of the States.
Kate Monahan of the Waikato Times has a blog entitled "Behind the Seams" where she reports on all the shows. You can also read about New Zealand fashion over at the FashioNZ blog.
The nice thing about this New Zealand Fashion Week is that it's all about the fashion - not the celebrities ;)
