
Earlier this year I wrote about designers being pimps and celebrities being hos when it came to fashion shows and celebrity endorsements. So, this article at Forbes [via The Budget Fashionista] comes as no surprise that celebrities are actually being paid to appear in the front row. Excuse my bland choice of vocabulary, but I think it's *stupid* that designers have to pay celebrities to sit in the front row. On the other side of the coin, I guess it wouldn't be any different than a celebrity being paid to appear in a commercial or ad...

However, the question remains: Does having a celebrity appear at your show actually bring in more sales? Is there a significant return on investment? Inquiring minds want to know...
