
New York Fashion Week isn't the only city where the hippie vibe took place. Apparently Dolce & Gabanna found inspiration from the 60's and 70's eras as well. I like to call their Spring 2008 collection "Hippie Meets Preppie". There were shimmery, short dresses, but a majority of the pieces were long, floral, patchwork dresses with ruffles galore. I only wonder how that is going to translate to the streets.
I liked the overall casual vibe of this collection. The sweaters over button-up collared shirts, bell-bottom jeans with big, slouchy purses, and gladiator sandals are sure to be key looks for the spring.
