Mercedes-Benz New York Fashion Week has come and gone...and I went on a mini-vacation for most of last week, hence the lack of posts here. However, since spring is still months away, there will be plenty of time to review the shows I didn't get to.

In regards to New York Fashion Week, I did come across an article at BusinessWeek that talks about the "numbers" involved in producing a runway show. It comes as no surprise that it can cost close to $100,000 - maybe even more depending on props, shoes, backdrop, etc. - to show your wares in Bryant Park. It's an extraordinary price to pay, but you figure all the press you get for it is certainly worth it - especially if it equates to high sales.
