One of the things I loved to do as a little girl was play dress up with paperdolls. I could spend hours changing outfits...and changing outfits...and changing outfits. In fact, I recently bought paperdolls for my best friend's daughter just so we could have some fun changing outfits ;)
Now there are websites you can visit to engage in tireless hours of dressing up. Stardoll is one of these sites that boasts over 10 million members from around the world. I must admit that I even got a little addicted as I was browsing the site. I even visited the Donna Karan shop where you can try on the clothing, but you actually have to buy the pieces if you want to "take it home".
This is another great way for designers to market their goods. Donna Karan just joined the list of shops available in the Stardoll world as did Sephora, the heaven for makeup and beauty fanatics.
It won't be long before other designers catch on to this idea of introducing themselves to younger generations...
That's one of my favorite sites! My most favorite one for fantasy dress up though is meez.com because I can use the avatar it makes on other sites.
