Word on the streets today is that Alicia Silverstone is appearing naked in a PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) commercial that is supposed to appear about two dozen times today on Houston TV stations. Because Alicia is a vegetarian, PETA chose her to be their spokeswoman.
The first question that comes to mind when I hear about Alicia Silverstone baring all is: Why would she appear naked?
Well, I guess we can't be too surprised that PETA would do something like this to capture the attention of America. Members of PETA have been known to traumatize Anna Wintour. Some of you may even recall when they threw the pie in Wintour's face during the Paris shows...

I didn't see the connection other than Silverstone saying she was vegetarian. I never did think that being an omnivore was unethical so I really don't understand why being vegetarian makes you more ethical and caring for animals than others. And why does she need to be naked? Probably because no one would pay attention otherwise.
The other thing is that Alcia Silverstone has never made a good spokesperson with all a mysticism and cosmic ramblings. Since she really has no relevance to Hollywood anymore other than being the butt of jokes, this will probably benefit her more than PETA.
