There comes a time when a fashion designer's brand starts to grow and needs a little help. Roberto Cavalli is that designer. He's on the lookout for a great partner and tells WWD:
"The price is not what interests me. I'd like to find a partner who could do all the things I've done over the last ten years and develop the business just as much, but do it in three years."

One of the companies that Cavalli is looking at is Swiss-based luxury goods group Richemont. He wants a company that can give him the attention he needs - a company that doesn't have alot of fashion brands. However, regarding Richement, Cavalli says, "they will probably start with smaller companies; mine is big and costs a lot."
Cavalli is known for going against fashion rules. In 1972 he showed his first collection in the historic White Room of Palazzo Pitti in Florence which was met by scandal. His models were wearing patchwork on denim - something unheard of back then in Florence. Today Roberto Cavalli has quite a few fashion brands under his belt: Just Cavalli, Roberto Cavalli Class, and Roberto Cavalli Angels. His collection for H&M is set to debut this coming November and will show the Just Cavalli collection today in Milan. Stay tuned for reviews...Subscribe!
