Guy Trebay of The New York Times has an interesting article about some of the current issues surrounding the modeling industry.  One of these issues is smoking - a subject I've been thinking about lately. 

I've seen many older women who have aged, cracked skin and you can tell that they've been smoking for awhile.  It's not attractive.  Then I see these beautiful models sashaying down the runways and I think, "Do they even think about what they're going to look like when they're older?" Sure, maybe smoking will help decrease your appetite and help you lose weight, but what about the future?
