Before we hop right over to Paris for another whirlwind week of high fashion, I'd like to pay tribute to one more show from Milan Fashion Week: Fendi. I would have to say that this is my favorite show out of all the shows in Milan simply because Fendi used circular designs in some of the pieces. For me, the circle takes on a metaphysical meaning. I think about unity and the never ending cycle of life whenever I see circles in designs.
What I also loved about the Fendi show was that it was futuristic. As Karl Lagerfeld says, it is "Space Age Romantic". Where many designers opted for inspiration from the past, Lagerfeld decides to take two steps forward with this collection. Bravo!
