With Valentino's Spring 2008 collection, there is never a dull moment. Whatever color or style floats your boat, Valentino has a dress for you. Everything from black and white polka dot, flowers, lace, gingham, sexy, groovy, and conservative was sent down the runway. All of it reflected a lifetime of hard work and everything that Valentino has stood for: class, fun, and color. It will definitely be sad to see Valentino leave.
Valentino announced recently that he will be retiring after 45 years of fashion design. Alessandra Facchinetti, the former designer of Gucci women's ready-to-wear, will be taking his spot. However, he is scheduled to do one more haute couture show early next year.
