Something about being in a library gives me a sense of peace, like being in a Chanel store on a not-so-busy day. Now I understand why fashion designers like Donna Karan or Vera Wang leave the U.S. and find inspiration in far-off distant continents. It's something about being in new surroundings that changes the perspective about the work you do.
If you're a fashion designer who wants to try something different, I highly recommend taking a trip to another country if you can or even a trip to another part of town will help get those creative juices flowing again. Who knows, the next big idea might be there waiting to be captured.

Speaking of getting out of town, I'm heading out to Las Vegas this week for the BlogWorld Expo. If any of you fashion bloggers will be attending the conference, let me know and maybe we can meet! I won't be attending after all ;(
