Bring up the name "Paris Hilton" and immediately the claws come out. I watched the Ellen Show today where Paris came on to promote her new
clothing line and fragrance.

It's interesting to me that someone who could be so hated could be doing so well. Or is she? You figure that since this is her fourth fragrance coming out that people out there must support her (besides her daddy!) Then there are the people wonder why she's famous. Hmmm - could it be that we made her famous by talking about her all the time!? If anything, we should give her props for attempting to make good despite some of the bad choices she's made in the past. We've all made mistakes, right?
I admit that I absolutely love her "Can Can" perfume and despite my previous complaints about celebrities and their clothing lines, I'll also admit that I do like some of the pieces in her collection.

I used to be a Paris Hilton hater, and I supported by cause by avoiding press about her.
But bored one day I fell into an episode of Simple Life, and I found myself laughing and enjoying it, in spite of myself. Nicole Richie's fantastically funny, and it became obvious Paris isn't dumb, she just pretends to be.
I never smelled her perfume, I've never seen her clothing, and I tire of her playing dumb and that awfully fake baby/stripper voice. But she seems gracious, especially when interacting with her fans, she's trying to make a career for herself, and she's using celebrity for good causes these days, so she deserves more respect than she receives.
That's my 2 cents anyway.
