
A few weeks ago I talked about how Target was going to stage a virtual runway show at the Grand Central Terminal in New York City. Well, Eric Wilson of The New York Times was there to witness the show plus get a little feedback from people.
I can see how something like this could be a little annoying. After all, we're constantly bombarded with advertising, pop-ups, and people shouting in our face to "Buy this! Try this!" (which was my experience in the mall the other day). Our world has become a place of information overload and the perhaps the last thing we want to see on a commute to work is a virtual runway show.
One of the comments Eric Wilson got was, “It’s overwhelming.” I think I would have said the same thing.
