Most fashion brands would be happy to have a celebrity endorse their logo or products.  After all, it is free publicity.  However, LVMH wasn't too keen on the use of their Louis Vuitton logo in a Britney Spears video [hat tip to Style It]

I wonder how this situation is any different from a rap artist mentioning the name "Louis Vuitton" in a song.  I also wonder if LVMH would have done anything if it was a Madonna video instead of a Britney Spears video.  Could it be that LVMH really doesn't want to be associated with a celebrity like Spears?  Of course they'll never admit it ;)
